Microsoft’s Project Natal Could Cost $200

Several Swedish retailers have posted prices for Microsoft’s full-body motion controller, Project Natal. If the prices are real, they’re much higher than expected.

The controller is listed for 1,499 SEK, or approximately 197 U.S. dollars. Even if we consider that prices for games and gaming equipment in Sweden are a bit higher than in the U.S., this is still quite expensive for a gadget that’s essentially a peripheral for the Xbox 360.

Previous estimates for Project Natal were around $50. We can only hope that this “leaked” price is merely an error or a placeholder price for this highly-anticipated gadget.
