http://www.plugmasters.com.br/downloads/icones/banco-de-icones/borda-grossa/Google.pngLook who has decided to join the intensely competitive e-b00k business. It is none other than yours, mine and everyone’s favorite search engine Google.  A Google spokesperson has revealed that the Californians will start selling e-books from late June or July.

Google Editions is the name coined by the search engine giants for their e-book service. Chris Palma, Google’s manager for strategic-partner development, made this huge announcement at a event titled The Book on Google: Is the Future of Publishing in the Cloud?

Google Editions besides allowing users to purchase the e-books through its book search service will also allow book retailers to sell them at their own site. Google has already taken a shot at Amazon as it intends to make Google Editions accessible on a variety of devices.
The pricing and publisher details still remain a mystery.  But here is the thing – Amazon and Apple have found for themselves a new and a giant competitor.
