TwineSter Creating Groups For A Communty


Honestly speaking, Twitter isn’t a social networking platform just like Facebook or MySpace. It’s actually a micro-blogging platform which enables users to share their personal lives or thoughts and opinions of a particular issue in less than 140 characters. Twitter equals simplicity and as a result, it’s not a wise idea to implement a group functionality just like what its fellow rivals are doing. This will make the service looks more complicated and not original. Even Facebook intends to challenge Twitter with its newer, simplified version of Facebook Lite. Will it beat the world’s most popular micro-blogging service? Well, it’s too early to say. Twinester is a newly-launched website that allows Twitter users to create and join groups and communities and interact with one another of similar interest. To start, simply punch in your Twitter credentials and you’re good to go. In Twinester, groups are known as “nests” which symbolizes the many people in a particular community. You can either create groups or browse them by categories such as ‘Business’, ‘Lifestyle’, ‘Entertainment’, ‘Technology’, ‘Internet’, ‘Location’, ‘Relationships’, ‘Sports’ and many more.

Currently, the ‘Hot Nests’ on the site includes ‘Firefox’ with 13 members, ‘TechCrunch’ with 11 members and ‘Earth’ with 9 members. Since the service isn’t really that popular now, the number of members in groups or communities are relatively quite low.
