Thorsten Zoerner has created a silly but interesting Twitter app that provides you a fun calculation of the amount of CO2 emission caused by your Tweets. By punching in just your Twitter username and hit enter, you'll be able to find out how much C02 in kg or lbs you've emitted.

Since this simple app doesn't requires your Twitter credentials, hence you can find out how your friends on Twitter perform. Compare the results with them and see who emitted the most CO2 into the atmosphere. The result will depend on several factors such as number of followers and frequency of each tweet. It will then calculate the amount of computer usage in hours and multiple it with the amount of CO2 released in 1 KWh.
From my multiple observations, Guy Kawasaki top the rankings with 6,169,515kg/13,601,453lbs of CO2 yearly for twittering (please tell me in the comments if there is someone higher than this figure).
