I mostly use Gmail or Skype to call my close ones ,but foe that I use my E-mail , i found another way by which we can call at any number and talk as long as you want just do the simple things.
*Download Yahoo Messenger
*Sign In Too Your Yahoo Messenger
*You Will See A Box In The Upper Right Corner (Search Box)
*In That Box Type a number ,Lets say you type a number of USA residential e.g +18003733411
*When you will call , a operator will reply to you "main menu" ,now using your mic simply say "free call"
*Now the operator will talk something and after a while a beep will be heard and a dial pad will come up from there you can call to any one.
*The sad part is that ,you can call the person at max of 5 minutes.
*but the happy part is , repeat the same process above and tlk to that person for another 5 minutes , If you want to talk more do the same process again again.
