Warner Music videos removed from YouTube

Warner Music Group's videos began disappearing from YouTube this weekend, the casualty of a contract impasse between the music company and the Internet's dominant video site. Negotiations broke down last week over licensing fees for Warner's music and videos, say people familiar with the discussions who were not authorized to speak publicly. On its blog, YouTube alerted its audience to the collapse in talks, noting that professionally produced music videos and those that fans create using Warner songs would begin to disappear. It remains unclear whether YouTube or Warner decided to pull the plug. "Sometimes," wrote YouTube in its online message to users, "if we can't reach acceptable business terms, we must part ways with successful partners." Warner Music -- home to such acts as Madonna, rapper T.I., Red Hot Chili Peppers and Linkin Park -- issued a brief statement Saturday, saying it was working to find a resolution with YouTube that would return i...

Fan Lady "Curse"

She Used To Look Like This And then Her name is Han Mi Ok, a Korean celebrity who became known as 'Fan Lady' after her disastrous cosmetic surgery. She underwent 15 reconstructive surgery to overhaul her 'I-don't-think-it-can-be-fix' plastic surgery damage. She apparently became obsessed addicted to plastic surgery and couldn't get enough of the 'faux-fect face' ( I made the word up) so she went to quacks just to indulge herself. She even personally performed a facial injection at home. The result…. well you can see it. I admire her courage to display her damaged face in public and let people see how ungodly it is to distort ones appearance. I am not totally against plastic surgery but I am also not for it. She should serve as a lesson to anyone who dreamed of having a 'faux-fect face'. Think twice before you get cut up and think thrice before you inject yourself with human byproducts.

Internet Explorer is Unsafe ... Still

A malignant security flaw found in all versions of Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser has yet to be fixed, and the problem is spreading. Microsoft detailed the flaw in a security update blog post six days ago. Since then, the problem has spread across the globe, hitting at least 2 million computers. Unlike other computer exploits, this one does not require users to click on fishy links or download mysterious software: it plagues computers that simply open an infected Web page. Internet Explorer is currently used by 69 percent of Web surfers. The flaw hides inside the data binding function of the browser and causes IE to quit unexpectedly and reopen vulnerable to prying eyes. So far most of the attacks have been geographically centered on China and have been used for the purposes of stealing computer game passwords. But with a flaw as gap-toothed as this, the possibilities of nefarious action could include the massive theft of personal information such as administrative computer ...

Teen Shot Parents Because They Took Away Halo 3

Prosecutors at the murder trial of 17-year-old Daniel Petric claim that the teen shot both of his parents, killing his mother, because they wouldn't let him play Halo 3. According to prosectors, Petric, 16 at the time of the shooting, was forbidden to buy Halo 3 by his parents, Mark and Susan Petric. The teen snuck out to purchase the game anyway, and was caught by his parents upon his return. The game was locked up in Mark's lockbox, along with a 9mm handgun. Mark Petric, a minister at the Life Assembly of God in Wellington, Ohio, testified that soon after on the evening of October 20th, 2007, his son entered the family room with a request. "Would you guys close your eyes," Daniel Petric asked. "I have a surprise for you." It was then that Daniel Petric allegedly shot both of his parents in the head, killing his mother instantly. Mark Petric survived due to the timely arrival of his daughter and her husband, who had arrived to watch a Cleveland Indians ...

New face in Mac clone market plans high-end OS X desktops

A company called EFi-X USA (no, that's not a throwaway droid from Empire Strikes Back) apparently plans to take on Mac clone maker Psystar by bypassing the consumer market and jumping straight to the power user demographic. (Credit: EFi-X USA) The machines it's prepping sound pretty nice, with a 3.8GHz Intel Core 2 Quad processor, 1TB storage on 7200 rpm drives, a 150GB 10k rpm system drive, 4GB of included RAM, and a GeForce 8800 GTS GPU. What's more, according to Apple Insider, the company is planning to let consumers customize their machines, meaning that if the current crop of Mac Pros aren't what you're looking for, you can make up your own personalized system. The systems will reportedly sell for $2,100, but that includes the proprietary EFi-X internal adapter that tricks OS X into thinking it's on a Mac. That's how this company plans to work the magic. We haven't heard word from Apple's legal team yet, and we're not sure what the legal ram...

A minuscule optical mouse

If clicking multiple buttons is too strenuous an activity, check this mouse out. The Z Nano Optical Mouse, which bills itself as the "world's tiniest" optical mouse, is, at 1.65 inches by 0.83 inches by 0.69 inches, barely larger than a human finger tip. It plugs into any PC via a USB cable, and instead of right and left click buttons, the user needs only to roll a finger to the left or right instead. And in the case of scrolling, you click buttons on the mouse's side. The Z Nano has clear plastic casing and is lit by multicolor LEDs on the inside. Under where the finger goes, there's also a place to insert a tiny image to personalize the device.

Nintendo Sells A Staggering, Industry-Saving 2.04 Million Wiis In Nov.

Nintendo sold 2.04 million Wiis to U.S. consumers last month, outselling its nearest competitor, the Xbox 360, more than two-to-one. As good as the news was for Nintendo, it was as bad for Sony. While Wii sales more than doubled from the 981,000 units Nintendo sold in November last year, monthly PlayStation 3 sales dropped. Despite it commanding a much stronger software line-up, Sony saw PS3 sales decline from 466,000 last November, to just 378,000 this November. The company's previous generation platform also dropped considerably, moving just 206,000 compared to 496,000 units during the same month last year. Microsoft's hardware sales jumped from November 2007, but not by such a wide margin. It sold 770,000 in November last year, with 836,000 this year.

Image Changes

Hey, this actually happens! Quite amazing! This is the craziest thing I've seen in a long time. You have to get out of your seat and walk away from your computer. People may think you're crazy. But it's well worth it. ;) And Again It's Not A Graphic Software When you look at this picture close up, you see Albert Einstein, but if you stand about fifteen feet away, the picture will become Marilyn Monroe.

How To Remove Nav-Bar From Blogger

You see a navigation bar on the top of every blog hosted at Blogger(BlogSpot). With this navigation bar, you can search blogs, visit next to next blogs, sign in or create a new account. You can even flag a blog for posting some objectionable content and etc. One thing I like about WordPress.com blogs is that they don’t display any navigation bars at the top or at the bottom, but here at Blogger.com they don’t provide any option to remove it. But who the blogger society to help you when you can help yourself manually tweaking it not to display the navigation bar. How To Remove Navbar In Blogger Blogs 1. Open your Blogger dashboard. 2. Go to your blog’s Layout settings > Edit HTML 3. Look for: /* Variable definitions ==================== 4. And above that add: #navbar-iframe { display: none !important; } 5. Save your settings and open your blog now. The navigation bar will be gone. Here’s a sample blog that you can see without the navigation bar: http://curveup.blog...
