Best Backup Methods

You buy MP3s, take photos, write long love letters to Cloris Leachman, and you keep it all on your hard drive. If that hard drive crashes, you're done for. Unless you backed up. But what's the best way to back up? There are several ways to do this. But i here at Gobler am going to discuss three.  -->External Hard drive -->Network Attached Storage -->Online service Let's start with the external hard drive. Obviously, you don't want to back up to the same hard drive where the original files are. That's just silly. The simplest method is to buy an external hard drive and back up to that. My favorite  is the  ClickFree portable backup . It makes the process of backing up as simple as you can imagine. The software is stored on the drive, so you just plug it in and tell it what to back up. You can also do it yourself. If you have an old hard drive lying around, say from upgrading a notebook, just put it in a case.  The Drobo  is an excellent way to use multiple s...

New details on 'Metal Gear Solid 4' for iPhone

If you haven't checked out Konami's Web site for "Metal Gear Solid 4 Touch," the iPhone version of the popular "MGS" series, we recommend taking a look--even if you don't have an iPhone or iPod Touch. Both site and game look pretty sweet, and Konami's posted new details with some Flash animation showing off the sniping and shooting controls. We also like the whole concept of cursor as giant finger. Facebook apparently owns all User Content now

I am sure every one here knows what is Facebook . Facebook is a social network that helps people get together . Yesterday when i was having my daily addiction of Facebook use i went to there terms of service and guess what i get ;- Facebook updateded its terms of service and according to the new terms, Facebook now reserves all rights to the original content that you upload or have already uploaded (which includes all text, photos, links, notes, videos etc) even after if you choose to close your account on the network or if your account gets disabled for some reason (to which Facebook is not answerable, again all thanks to the terms of services). It won't create any sort of a serious problem perhaps because users who upload or share any sort of their personal content on the web already understand the stakes and risks involved in maintaining the user privacy on the Internet and certainly most of the users are also aware that the content they share is made public anyway. Nokia Ovi Store launching this May

It was long rumored that Nokia would soon launch a cloud service of its own, providing storage and synchronization facilities for Nokia phones along with a whole range of free and paid apps to choose from. At the Mobile World Congress today, the prophecy came true as Nokia officially announced the Ovi Store in their presentation at Barcelona. Nokia may be far behind in launching the service but it sure did dive head first into the competition with some intuitive features. Nokia plans to unite the services offered under its Ovi platform into an online store service which would include Applications, Games, Music, Maps and most importantly Widgets. Fastest processor on the planent,The new Intel Core i7

Can’t edit your favorite pics while performing Hi-Def video encoding or having a problem pla ying any game which demands a high performance processor. Well do not be so worried, Intel (the god of processors) has come up with its exciting new Intel Core i7 processor extreme edition. Although Intel has released many processors over the years, most of these offered only small iterations on existing designs, and were more evolutionary than revolutionary. This time it has come up with the world’s most advanced processors for those who like to use their PCs for things such as video gaming, photo editing or any other memory consuming operations. It has a monstrous capacity of handling various strenuous tasks simultaneously. Apart from its high speed performance, high quality gaming, the components of the processor are also amazing. It has 3.2 GHz of core speed as well as three channels of DDR3 1066 MHz memory. This quad core processor also includes eight processing threads with Intel’s incre...

Nikon unleashes its 2009 style brigade

Nikon's ultracompact S series look like the typical refreshers, with bumps in lenses and resolution across the board. The touch-screen S60 must be working out for the company, because it's added a second model for spring: the Coolpix S230, which has a cheaper touch-free sibling, the S220. Unlike with the S60, however, Nikon included a mechanical zoom switch rather than relying on the touch screen for zooming. Both cameras have 3X zoom lenses, 10-megapixel sensors and 2.5-inch LCDs. Both S600 series models are 12 megapixels and use 2.7-inch LCDs, but the S630 has a 7X zoom lens compared with the S620's 4X unspecified wide-angle zoom. Nikon also highlights the S620's "incredibly quick start-up time of 0.7 seconds," which really doesn't sound all that fast to me--point-and-shoots in its class typically start and shoot in less than 0.5 second. All of the cameras incorporate Nikon's new "4-Way Vibration Reduction (VR) Image Stabilization" which c...

Usually when you install a new game or software, you are likely to forget or lost the original CD key that you get with the CD packing after the first install. Or sometimes you might throw the CD cases by mistake which contains the key.
