5$ Dollar Tip Complain On Facebook Gets A Waitress Fired

Facebook

Often repeated and almost every time employees are warned to exercise caution when posting job related updates on their Facebook profiles. Especially if you happen to have your boss added as your friend. The latest news has a North Carolina waitress waving goodbye to her job.

22 year old Ashley Johnson waved her job goodbye when she complained about the $5 tip she received from a couple at a restaurant. According to her status, she was crossed at a couple who sat at a table, making her do two extra hours and at the end just gave her a $5 tip. What got her in trouble?

Nothing except for the fact that she called them cheap and also using the company’s name [Brixx Pizza]. In my humble opinion, her act was quite punishable, primarily because it the customers wish to give a waiter any tip and is by no means a compulsion and secondly if she really did feel like they were just sitting there for hours she could have simply completed her time and left. That’s another discussion, but it just shows that irrespective of the fact if you have your boss added on your Facebook or not, any word you say that is against the company policy might end up having you lose your job. My tip, try and keep a personal diary for this.

And even though Google announced an unlocked Android G1 around the 2008 holidays, people still preferred the iPhone 3G. Gizmodo has uncovered some leaked photos of a new handset which appear to be quite authentic. The first thing you would notice here is its shiny plastic finish, which is very much welcoming from the pale gray look on G1. Also this time around there is not physical keyboard present, which is a little disappointing. Though the touchscreen is large, but we know the current Android interface had some issues. The back side has a new surprise A 3.2 Mega Pixel camera, though even mid range phones for vendors like Nokia boast a 5.0 Mega Pixel camera these days. What would be interesting is the video capabilities of the G2 (if there are any). The current rumors suggest that this handset would hit the shelves...
